Cargo Live! IAG Cargo’s new live stream series

IAG Cargo’s first live stream, a 30-minute news-style show, called Cargo Live, was broadcasted across LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube on Tuesday 13th April. Hosted by Nadia Bedra, it aimed to provide customers with up-to-date knowledge on the industry, top tips and insights.

John Cheetham, Chief Commercial Officer at IAG Cargo shared updates from around the business and news of IAG Cargo’s 10-year anniversary celebrations. This was followed by an introduction to booking freight online at IAGCargo.com with Peter Roberts, IAG Cargo’s Head of Distribution.

Guest speakers included Laura Ackermann from va-Q-tec who highlighted its high-tech solutions for temperature-controlled shipments and Jonathan Mellink from Seabury Cargo provided an air cargo update revealing that global air cargo demand increased by 2.6% year on year in January 2021.

Of the event Matthew Gardiner, Head of Marketing and External Communications said: “Content-driven marketing is at the core of our communication efforts and we’re delighted that the first episode of Cargo Live connected with so many freight forwarders. Over 3,000 people have already watched it. Designed to support freight forwarders, Cargo Live provides industry insights, knowledge and updates in a quick to digest format. We’re looking forward to doing it all over again soon.”
