Partnering with SENATOR INTERNATIONAL, IAG Cargo utilised a B777-200 passenger aircraft converted into a freighter to charter a flight from Shanghai to Munich carrying over 17,000 boxes (actual weight of 21.1 tons) of medical-grade face masks for the population of Germany.
The first of the converted aircraft departed London for Beijing with passenger seats in the main cabins completely removed, greatly increasing the cargo space available on the BA777-200.
